Press Release
Nexsure Achieves Straight-Through Agency/Carrier
Business Processing with Microsoft’s Insurance Value
Chain Architecture Framework (IVCAF) v1.0
Brea, CA, May 22, 2006 - XDimensional Technologies Inc.,
the provider of Nexsure®, the Internet insurance agency
management solution, announced today that in
collaboration with Microsoft® Corp., INSTEC, and
Insuresoft, a set of straight-through business processes
and transactions between their respective software
applications have been pre-integrated to speed business
for agencies and carriers. This first set of
transactions is focused on commercial auto policy
processing.
The commercial auto policy processing scenario is part
of Microsoft’s recently announced Insurance Value Chain
Architecture Framework (IVCAF) v1.0, which promotes
integration among best-of-breed software applications
through Microsoft® .NET web services and industry
standards, such as ACORD. Pre-integrating applications
has the potential to reduce millions of dollars of
post-purchase integration pain on the part of insurance
customers.
“We believe that this scenario, which involves true web
service transactions, is an industry first,” said Bob
Juracka, president of XDimensional Technologies. “As
part of Microsoft’s IVCAF to deliver production quality
integrations between value chain members for the benefit
of our mutual customers, this work expands Nexsure’s
straight-through processing capabilities, offering our
clients more choice and the competitive advantage of
real-time business efficiency and accuracy.”
The architecture is the result of newly launched
integration labs that have been held monthly since the
beginning of 2006 on Microsoft’s Redmond, Wash., campus.
The IVCAF will feature a library of production-quality
integrations and composite applications, business
narratives, Visio® process models, XML and Web services
messaging recommendations, and platform-specific
implementation guidance in major business areas.
“Working in the labs with INSTEC and Insuresoft, the
team developed the capability to initiate quote requests
or policy additions from Nexsure directly with either
partner and receive the respective update in Nexsure in
real-time, seamlessly and transparently to the
end-user,” said Juracka. “These direct and real-time
transactions are an enormous competitive advantage for
any agency of any size. There is no waiting for
downloads, no need to visit a company portal, and the
information that’s submitted is exactly what was
intended. This exemplifies how the future of insurance
processing will look and feel.”
The XDimensional Technologies, INSTEC and Insuresoft
commercial auto policy scenario is based on the
principles of services-oriented architecture (SOA) and –
because it was built on Microsoft .NET, XML and ACORD
standards – it provides a foundation for future
transaction and carrier system expansion. The scenario
also demonstrated the capacity to perform “push
transactions,” or real-time alert messages from the
carrier that automatically notify the appropriate user
in Nexsure and attach to the policy in question, helping
agencies respond to their clients faster and with
greater precision than ever before.
“XDimensional Technologies, INSTEC and Insuresoft, have
executed on the vision we set for the launch of the
Microsoft IVCAF v1.0 through the delivery of
production-quality code and prescriptive guidance of
everyday working scenarios,” said Kevin Kelly, managing
director for Microsoft’s U.S. insurance industry. “This
collaboration demonstrates the value of our Insurance
Value Chain Partners working together for the benefit of
our mutual customers, and exemplifies the new experience
we’re building together for the insurance industry.”
